Can I use VueScan on more than one computer?

Personal Use

You can use the Standard or Professional Edition of VueScan on up to four different computers that you personally own, with any combination of operating systems (e.g. Windows, macOS, Linux), with any number of scanners, both x32 and x64, with a single license.

  • The license is valid only for use on computers that you personally own and operate. Using VueScan on computers that you do not personally own, such as those at a business, school, government institution, or other organization, is not considered personal use.
  • Family members living in the same household may share a single VueScan license and use it on up to four computers that are personally owned by the household.
  • If more than one person (who is not a family member) uses VueScan on your computer, each person must have a separate VueScan license.

You may use the Basic Edition of VueScan on one computer that you personally own.

Non-Personal Use

VueScan licenses for non-personal use must be purchased separately for each computer that VueScan is installed on, regardless of the number of scanners connected to the computer. This applies in scenarios where:

  • VueScan is being used on computers not personally owned by you, such as those in a business (including small and home businesses), school, government institution, or other organization.
  • VueScan is being used to provide scanning services to clients or customers, such as in a print shop, a scanning service, or situations where you are scanning on behalf of others.

For these types of uses, you need to purchase a separate license for each computer that VueScan is being used. There are discounts available for bulk licenses.
