We built VueScan so that two completely different types of users can use it. Beginners only need to run VueScan and press the 'Scan' button, and can press the 'More' button to use basic options. Pro users can press the 'Advanced' button to unlock powerful features to have complete control over your scans.
VueScan can output scanned documents, photos, and film in PDF, JPEG and TIFF formats. It can also recognize text using OCR and create multi-page pdfs using both flatbed scanners and scanners with automatic document feeders.

VueScan works with the Braun Phototechnik MultiMag SlideScan 3600 on Windows and Mac OS X.
If VueScan isn't working with the Firewire cable, try a USB cable, try a different Firewire port or a different Firewire cable.
Use the 'Scanner | Calibrate' command to set the current slide to be frame number 1.
You need to install the CyberView X driver to use this scanner on Windows and Mac OS X.
This scanner isn't supported on Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and later, since CyberViewX uses a PowerPC plugin for this scanner and Rosetta isn't available with 10.6 and later.
On Mac OS X prior to 10.6, you need to use the x32 version of VueScan 9.0.96 with Rosetta. To do this:
