VueScan 8.4.71 was released on April 29, 2008, and you can read about what's new in this version. The Standard Edition costs $39.95.

If you've never used VueScan, you can get more information from the VueScan User's Guide (also available in PDF).

There's only one download for VueScan - the serial number that you enter determines whether it's the trial version, Standard Edition or Professional Edition. You don't need to uninstall old versions before upgrading.
