I had tons of photos to scan, and after doing some research I decided to go for VueScan. I don't regret my decision. Scanning was a breeze and saved me a lot of time. I'm using a Brother All-in scanner which I bought 3 years ago and whilst its scanning software is not bad it's much slower and has way less options than VueScan. My operation system is Windows 10. I can recommend VueScan without hesitation. It''s worth the money.

Hamrick Software - I have been using VueScan for 10 years on several different computers using 3 scanner models. It really is an excellent product well maintained and exceptional value for money. It has given me a lot of pleasure over the years and helped produce some high quality scans of vintage family photography. I can recommend it to anyone.
I am absolutely in love with this software! My Nikon COOL SCAN V would only work with Windows 98 so it's been our of commission for quite a while. Thanks to VueScan, it back online and working better than ever. It is so efficient and easy to use that I'm looking forward to scanning several thousand slides that have been stored away and unusable. My scanner now works so much better than it did originally that I am incredulous. I purchased the Pro version and it is worth every penny of the reasonable price. WOW! Love it! Thank You Hamrick!!!
In Jan 2003 I bought VueScan for my Epson Perfection 1200. I used it a lot, more functions than the standard driver. Got new computers with new operating systems, forgot about VueScan. I got a new Epson scanner - old one doesn't have Win10 drivers. I remembered VueScan. Found it, downloaded the trial version, and my old EPSON 1200 scanner WORKED again. Wow, a purchase made in 2003, works on a PC with an operating system that doesn't exist in 2003. 17 YEARS later! And that for a very small amount of money. THIS IS SERVICE AND ADDING VALUE TO YOUR CUSTOMER!
It's absurd that I couldn't use my Espon WF-3520 scanner when Mac OS updated, and Epson obviously has no interest in fixing the problem. Works perfectly with VueScan 9.
Was going to send my very old HP scanjet to the landfill but thanks to Hamrick Software I won’t have to!!! Very sustainable. It works on my Macbook with Catalina OS!!!!
Vuescan Professional saved me from having to buy a new scanner when Mac Catalina no longer supported my current scanner. Much less expensive than buying a new scanner, easy to use and great quality.
I’m very pleased with the software. It recognized all scanner features and allows me to continue scan to documents after macOS update.

Are you looking for ScanSnap s1500 software and driver information? You’ve come to the right place. In this article, we will provide you with everything you need to know about ScanSnap s1500 software and drivers. We will also show you how to download and install ScanSnap s1500 software and drivers on your computer. Let’s get started!
Fujitsu’s ScanSnap series has long been a popular choice for home users looking for an easy way to scan and organize their documents. The s1500 (and s1500m for mac), released in 2009, was particularly popular, thanks to its simple design and compatibility with both Windows and macOS. However, in 2019, Apple released macOS Catalina, which broke compatibility with the software that Fujitsu used to scan on macOS (ScanSnap Manager). As a result, many s1500 owners have been unable to use their scanner since upgrading to Catalina. While Fujitsu has since released an updated version of ScanSnap Manager that is compatible with Catalina, many users are still frustrated by the lack of support for older hardware.
macOS Catalina was released on October 7, 2019, and it included a number of new features and improvements. One of the most notable changes was the discontinuation of support for 32-bit software. This change meant that any software that hadn’t been updated to a 64-bit version would no longer work on macOS Catalina. While this change was necessary in order to move forward with new technology, it had a significant downside: many popular scanners were no longer compatible with macOS Catalina. The majority of scanner manufacturers didn’t update their older software to be 64-bit compatible, and as a result, many users were left unable to use their scanners. In addition, apps on macOS Catalina are required to be ‘notarized’ by Apple in order to run. This is a security measure that helps to protect users from malicious software. However, it also meant that many manufacturers didn’t bother updating their apps for macOS Catalina, since the process is time-consuming and expensive. As a result, many users found themselves unable to use their scanners after upgrading to macOS Catalina. While Apple’s intentions were good, the reality is that the transition to 64-bit software and notarized apps has been difficult for many users.
While the Fujitsu ScanSnap s1500 continued to work for years on Windows, it has recently been known to have some compatibility issues with Windows 10 and Windows 11. In particular, the ScanSnap Manager and ScanSnap Home applications are not fully compatible anymore. This was frustrating for users who rely on these applications to scan and manage their documents.
Fortunately, there is a solution. We have been creating custom scanner drivers for thousands of scanners for years, including all of Fujitsu and ScanSnap’s scanners. This means that we can offer full support for Catalina without requiring any changes to your existing setup. In addition, our drivers are constantly being updated to take advantage of the latest macOS features and to ensure compatibility with the latest third-party software. So if you’re still using an older scanner, there’s no need to worry - we can still help you get the most out of it. Contact us today to find out more.
The Fujitsu ScanSnap s1500/s1500m is an excellent piece of hardware that should not be thrown away just because the software stops working. The hardware is great, it doesn’t wear out for a long time, and it was pretty expensive when it came out. Therefore, you should continue to use your old scanner instead of buying a new one. Not only will this save you money, but it will also help to reduce electronic waste.
VueScan is a software program that works with the ScanSnap s1500 to allow you to scan documents and photos. You can use VueScan to create high-quality scans of your documents and photos, and it is easy to use. There is no need to download drivers and software separately; a single download is all that you need. VueScan is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux, so it will work with any computer. It’s also easy to install, so you can get started right away.
How does this work? VueScan is compatible with the s1500 scanner from Fujitsu. We reverse engineered how the scanner worked and how it communicates with the original software. Then we built a custom driver and included it in VueScan. VueScan automatically detects the edges of each page and then crop, deskew and exposure filters are applied to ensure the best possible scan. You can also modify the scanned pages before saving them to a file (PDF, JPG, etc.).
VueScan is the world’s most popular scanner software, used by over 900,000 customers in 150 countries. If you’ve got a scanner that doesn’t work with your version of Windows or Mac OS, or if you want more features, VueScan is almost certainly what you need. You can try it for free on our website, and if it works with your scanner, you can purchase a license to remove the watermark from the scanned images. It’s quick and easy to see if VueScan works with your scanner - just download it and run it. VueScan should detect the scanner if it’s plugged in. Then just press “Scan” to do a scan.
Scanners are one of those devices that you may not use very often, but when you need it, you really need it. And when your scanner stops working, it can be a real pain to find a replacement that works with your computer. So before you go out and buy a new scanner, take a look at the one you already have. It might just do the job you need it to do. VueScan can get your scanner back up and running within 60 seconds - much easier than buying a new scanner. Plus, it’s a fraction of the cost of a new scanner and it’s way easier to use. So before you go out and buy a new scanner, give VueScan a try. You might just be surprised at how well it works.
