Works on Windows, Mac, and Linux

VueScan works on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. It supports older scanners that don't work on newer operating systems, including most Canon LiDE, Epson Perfection, Nikon CoolScan and HP OfficeJet scanners.

Outputs scans in a variety of formats

VueScan can output scanned documents, photos, and film in PDF, JPEG and TIFF formats. It can also recognize text using OCR and create multi-page pdfs using both flatbed scanners and scanners with automatic document feeders.

Great for Beginner and Pro Users

We built VueScan so that two completely different types of users can use it. 'Guide me' mode guides you step by step through the scanner process. The Advanced mode lets you unlock powerful features to have complete control over your scan.

You need to install the CyberView X scanner driver to use this scanner on Windows and Mac OS X.

On Windows x64, you need to use VueScan x32 with this scanner since CyberView X installs a 32-bit plugin for this scanner on Windows x64.

This scanner isn't supported on Mac OS X Lion and later, since CyberViewX uses a PowerPC plugin for this scanner and Rosetta isn't available with Lion and later.

On Mac OS X prior to Lion, you need to use the x32 version of VueScan 9.0.96 with Rosetta. To do this:

  1. Click on the VueScan icon while holding the Control key
  2. Choose 'Get Info'
  3. Check 'Open using Rosetta'

If you have an iPad, iPhone, Android phone/tablet or Kindle Fire, you can use VueScan Mobile with WiFi scanners or the built-in camera to scan documents.
