VueScan works with the Hewlett-Packard Photosmart S20 on Windows.

You need to install an HP scanner driver to use this scanner on Windows.

If there isn't an HP scanner driver at www.hp.com for your operating system, then unfortunately VueScan won't work with this scanner. VueScan uses a plugin library that's installed with the HP scanner drivers to talk to this scanner, and doesn't work with this scanner without this plugin library.

On Windows x64, you need to use VueScan x32 to use this scanner's transparency adapter.
